A Garden for Every Age

Some gardens start with someone falling in love with the idea. This one started with a teenager who had the desire to learn, and a garden built to match.

A Garden Built Around Her

This wasn’t a family garden she happened to help with, this bed was designed for her, from the ground up. She wanted to learn, and our job was to give that curiosity a place to grow: a raised bed kitchen garden filled with seasonal herbs, veggies, and flowers, like kale, lettuce, basil, petunias, and snapdragons. Drip irrigation was installed over the soil so her garden would keep thriving long after we left.

When the time came to plant, she was right there with our crew, settling kale starts into the soil and tucking in petunias row by row, completely in her element and learning as she went.

Setting Someone Up for Success

That’s really the goal behind every garden we design, no matter who it’s for: not just a pretty bed on install day, but a setup that makes it easy for that person to keep going. For a teenager who’s just discovering how much she loves being outside and getting her hands in the dirt, that means good soil, smart irrigation, and plants chosen to make her early wins easy and satisfying.

Because a garden that’s designed to fit the gardener; their age, interests, and space, is a garden that actually gets tended, harvested, and loved for years.

A Hobby for a Lifetime

Gardening isn’t a phase you age into or out of. It’s something you can carry with you for life, deepening every year, especially when it starts early and starts with the right setup. A young woman who’s just learning to tend her own kitchen garden today might be the adult still growing it, and teaching her own kids to do the same, decades from now.

We loved being part of the start of that story yesterday.
